My drivers are up to date and my Sounds and Audio Devices (Control Panel) is configured to my 5.1 system. However, the program is unable to detect my surround speakers, and therefore simply duplicates the front stereo for the rear speakers. Since I want to configure it for surround sound, I change the player from a 2 channel configuration to the 6 channel configuration. This may not be the best place to ask this, but I use InterVideo WinDVD 6 Platinum to view DVDs. Well there jason, since you asked, there are some of us who have the P7800 where there are four plugs on the side of the speakers and only three plugs on the computer side with asus mother board needing four. In the speaker configuration the lime/green socket is identified as Front speaker out. But when I run the connector sensing it senses the jack i have plugged into the lime/green socket as stereo line in.
